CONFIRM YOUR ADDRESS AND VOTER STATUS

Before anything else, make sure you're registered to vote and your information is current. Takes about two minutes.

• Your registration status

• Your name and address on file

• Your voting precinct

If anything needs updating, do it early. Registration deadline is April 27. Check your status and precinct at https://mapps.hayscountytx.gov/election/index.cfm if you live in Hays County. Otherwise go to VoteTexas.gov
.

Check your status:

On the Secretary of State's website >>

DECIDE WHEN AND HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR BALLOT

Texas offers multiple ways to vote. Pick the one that works best for you and make a plan before Election Day arrives.

Early voting-- May 18–22, more flexibility

Election Day-- May 26 at your assigned polling place

Vote by mail-- if you meet eligibility requirements

FIND YOUR POLLING PLACE

Polling locations can change between elections -- don't assume yours is the same as last time. Plan your visit the same way you'd plan any appointment.

• Where you can vote early

• Where to vote on Election Day

• Hours of operation

REVIEW & RESEARCH YOUR BALLOT

Ballots vary by location and party primary runoff. Taking a few minutes to review before you vote removes uncertainty and makes the experience faster and easier.

• See which races will appear on your ballot

• Understand what offices are being decided

• Note any local races or propositions

• Learn how to Research Candidates and Issues.

Stick to official Texas election resources, nonpartisan voter information sites, and local election offices.

The Sample Ballot Lookup Tool (link below) will combine all candidates for a particular race. In some cases it will list both Republican and Democratic candidates. Choose those from your preferred party to review.

Note: If you voted in a party primary in March, you will vote in that party this time. If you did not vote, you will pick a party in which to vote.
