Renew – or Update – Your Membership

Membership in the League of Women Voters are a suggested $75 for individual annual memberships. The League also offers a "pay-what-you-can" dues option, with minimum dues of $20.

Member Portal

The Member Portal is maintained by the League of Women Voters of the United States. When you join the League you are joining the local, state, and national League all at the same time. The power of the League comes from them all working together with the thousands of volunteers who make up the League.

The LWVUS receives your dues and splits it three ways, including with the League of Women Voters of Texas and the LWV of Hays County.

Those who wish to donate to the League of Women Voters of Hays County should know that if you use the Member Portal as you renew your membership will be split between the national, state, and local Leagues. So if you intend for your donation to go to our League, the LWV of Hays County, please start on our Donate page.

Membership is open to anyone age 16 or older of any gender identity.

Join by Mail

New and renewing members have the option of joining by downloading the Hays County LWV Membership Application.
Complete your check and make it payable to LWVUS. Then mail your check to LWV Hays County at P.O. Box 414, Wimberley, TX 78676. Your dues will go to the League of Women Voters of the US and then will be shared with the state and local leagues.

To make a separate donation to the League of Women Voters of Hays County, please write a check payable to LWV Hays Co and send it to the above address.

Other Ways to Support the LWV of Hays County

Non-members support the LWV in a variety of ways. They join our mailing list, follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or Bluesky, buy tickets to our annual fundraiser, donate items for our silent auction, or contribute money. Find out more ways to support our work here.

Connecting as Members

The LWV of Hays County is delighted to have you, and we have a number of ways to connect. Besides a welcome email with a lot of great information, you will get periodic emailed newsletters. If you have a Google or Google-friendly account, we will add you to our Google group, Hays LWV Central and will try to invite those with other kinds of email accounts to join, although Google is inconsistent about sending them.
We have three social media accounts you may want to know about and follow: Facebook logo Facebook, Instagram logo Instagram, and Bluesky. Sharing our content helps share our information.

Members can order name badges and the League's purple polo shirts if they choose to. Login first, then navigate to the menu For Members. The dropdown below has pages on ordering each.
